ABOUT US

A seasoned manager, HR and legal services professional and adult educator, Deborah Hann has dedicated her career to the pursuit of excellence and professional growth.

After five years designing and delivering Industry based leadership and management development programs, across banking, manufacturing, professional services and the public service, she transitioned to the position of Director of Legal Professional Development.

Deborah identified a widespread failure to support the integration of critical experiential learning at work and thus achieve a mutual benefit for both the individual professional and their workplace.  This deficiency applied to peoples' emotional intelligence skills as well as to their general work skills.

The dearth of support for professionals to learn experientially at work was having a detrimental effect on their work performance, motivation, career progression, well-being, and causing heightened levels of burnout.

Fuelled by her passion to understand the dynamics of professional development, Deborah pursued a PhD, at The University of Melbourne, to delve into the post-admission learning processes and experiences of professionals in managing and leading within their workplaces. Because of her 10 year experience in senior legal roles she studied a wide cross section of lawyers. Her findings and methods apply generally to working professionals.

Core EQ's quest to discover the best way to provide the necessary experiential learning opportunities has led us to build an Equine Experiential Education Business and training facilities at our Mornington Peninsula property.

We have developed a suite of courses aimed at providing valuable experiential learning opportunities for professionals to enhance their work skills, including emotional intelligence (EQ) skills.

To obtain the best experiential learning integration we harness the effectiveness of horse co-facilitation which is an internationally accepted approach with proven results.

We leverage the power of the horse as a facilitator of profound experiential learning experiences with purpose-built equine facilitated exercises. And engage participants in real time guiding them to experience, interpret and integrate their active learnings back at work.

This distinctive approach is poised to make a transformative impact on the legal and financial services community and beyond, addressing crucial aspects of professional development and emotional intelligence that are often overlooked in traditional professional training programs.
